Greater Kansas City Chapter of the Association of the US Army (KS0034P) is supporting Wreaths Across America, a national non-profit organization whose mission is to:

Donate a wreath

REMEMBER our fallen U.S. veterans,

HONOR those who serve, and

TEACH your children the value of freedom.

Our participation in this program is to help expand the support to Wreaths Across America’s mission and to provide an opportunity for members of the KCAUSA Chapter and KC Metro community to participate in a local wreath-laying ceremony on the third Saturday of December each year. Volunteers can participate in any local ceremony they wish, as shown at the Wreaths Across America’s website.

KCAUSA’s sponsored wreaths will support the Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery at Fort Leavenworth, KS or the Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, KS. Those who wish to take part in either ceremony can partner with us for transportation or head up on your own. Also, contact us if you or your group are interested in a driving-tour of Fort Leavenworth.

What is a Veteran’s Wreath?

It is a symbol of HONOR, RESPECT, and VICTORY.

Watch this short video to learn about the wreath’s symbolism.

ARLINGTON, Va. (AFPN) -- Christmas wreaths adorn head stones at Arlington National Cemetery. The 14th annual wreath laying event is the result of Worcester Wreath Company's owner Morrill Worcester's, childhood dream of doing something to honor those laid to rest in the national cemetery. More than 5,000 donated wreaths were placed by volunteers this year. (U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt. Jim Varhegyi)
