Arter-Rowland National Security Forum Host Partnership
Two of AUSA’s fourteen aims and objectives are “[t]o inform the American people of the fundamental facts and factors pertaining to national security,” and “[t]o foster public understanding and support of the United States Army.” KC AUSA’s vision is “to be the premier voice for the Army in Greater Kansas City.”
To further AUSA’s aims and our chapter’s vision, the Greater Kansas City Chapter in July 2020 became co-sponsor of the Arter-Rowland National Security Forum, established by the Command and General Staff College Foundation. This builds on the Association of the United States Army’s ongoing connections with the Foundation, which provides resources and support to the U.S. Army Command & General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas in developing leaders to meet the challenges of the 21st Century.
Once public health conditions allow, members of the Forum and their guests will meet periodically at guest speaker breakfast events in downtown Kansas City. National and regional guest speakers representing all elements of national power (diplomatic, informational, military, economic, financial, intelligence and law enforcement) highlight the meetings. The Forum is nonpartisan, but elected government officials may present from time to time.
The Forum is named after Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Robert Arter, Founding Chairman of the CGSC Foundation, and Mr. Landon Rowland, a well-known Kansas City leader in business and philanthropy who had a keen interest in national security issues.
The Forum is an exclusive professional information sharing and networking series of events for select invitees of the CGSC Foundation and the Greater Kansas City Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (KC AUSA), the co-hosts of the Forum.
Contact the KC AUSA Chapter President to learn more about becoming a member of the Arter-Rowland National Security Forum.
